A longish walk at 13miles on friday taking in the highest mountain in England - Scafell Pike at 978m. (pic above)
Started out from the Brotherikeld farm at the bottom of the Hardknott pass following the River Esk to Esk Hause.
From here it was up Great End then over Broad Crag and Ill Crag before reaching Scafell Pike. Descended from Mickledore besides How Beck which turned out to be quite scrambly.Just the two Wainwrights summited;
